Canadian Music Week
Canadian Music Week (or CMW) is an industry conference and music festival held over four days in various venues throughout Toronto. The event began in 1981, and has grown to become one of Canada’s largest and most influential media and music conferences. It draws top industry professionals to participate in a four-day program of activities. Designed to stimulate the exchange of market intelligence, increase dialogue and provide networking opportunities, Canadian Music Week continues to present the ideal platform for more than 2,000 national and international delegates.
Imagine Native Film + Media Arts Festival
The imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival is an international festival in Toronto that celebrates the latest works by Indigenous peoples on the forefront of innovation in film, video, radio, and new media. Each fall, the festival presents a selection of the most compelling and distinctive Indigenous works from around the globe. The festival's screenings, parties, panel discussions, and cultural events attract and connect filmmakers, media artists, programmers, buyers, and industry professionals. The works accepted reflect the diversity of the world's Indigenous nations and illustrate the vitality and excellence of our art and culture in contemporary media.
NXNE
NXNE was established in 1995 in partnership with leading members of the Canadian music and media industries and the founders of Austin, Texas’ SXSW. Today, NXNE is Canada’s most important ‘DISCOVERY’ festival for emerging new music from across Canada and around the world.
From June 11 – 15, 2025, NXNE returns for its 30th year, and will again take over 20+ of Toronto’s best live music venues showcasing 250+ bands in tight 40-minute sets for the ultimate club hopping experience. Among those artists performing are are Acid Sponge Punch, Anna Sofia, Avalon Stone, Bleeker, JULES IS DEAD, King Cruff, Mars Aspen, Martin Kerr, Nylo Carter, Parachute Thieves, Ruby Waters, and Talking Violet.
NXNE makes great music accessible and inclusive to all, in part, by removing the financial barriers.
Artists pay nothing to apply, performers are paid and admission to club shows in 2024 is with a low-cost Full Festival Pass or Single Admission Ticket.
