Kingston Canadian Film Festival, The Slaight Family Foundation, and the Kingston Music Office proudly present the 4th annual Slaight Music Video Showcase! This yearly program connects local musicians with local film production companies to create new music videos, celebrating Kingston's wildly talented creative industries. All videos are in contention for both an audience and a juried prize, to be announced at the KCFF Awards Show.

The Kingston Canadian Film Festival is the largest festival in the world dedicated exclusively to Canadian film.

Founded in 2001, KCFF is a charitable cultural organization that provides access to Canadian film in a dynamic festival setting. Transforming traditional and unconventional venues across Kingston’s historic downtown, KCFF is an annual whirlwind of movies and special events that spark curiosity, ignite discussion and provide a fresh experience of Canadian film.

Each Festival, long-time festival goers and first-time enthusiasts can explore screenings, Q+As, parties, workshops, networking events, live music, stand-up comedy, and exhibitions.  With previous appearances from folks like Gerry Dee, Cathy Jones, Bif Naked, Gordon Pinsent, plus cast from shows like Baroness Von Sketch, Letterkenny, Mr. D, Trailer Park Boys, Kids in the Hall, and This Hour Has 22 Minutes, there are a few familiar faces along the way, too!

The JUNO Awards were founded to raise the public profile and recognition of musical artists in Canada and were named in tribute to Pierre Juneau, the first chairperson of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). This year, the JUNOS will be held in Vancouver, at the Rogers Arena on Sunday, March 30th. Hosted by Michael Bublé, experience a night packed with electrifying performances from some of the country’s biggest names, including a historic, last-ever performance by Canadian Music Hall of Fame Inductees, Sum 41.

The mission of the Canadian Folk Music Awards is to celebrate and promote Canadian folk music in all its forms. In 2025 the Awards Weekend takes place between April 3rd and April 6th, in Ottawa and Gatineau, marking a special return to the birthplace of the awards for their 20th anniversary.

Slaight Music is proud to sponsor the "Unsung Hero Award", an annual award recognizing the exceptional contribution of an individual, group, or organization active in any aspect of the Canadian folk music scene (performance, promotion, presentation, etc). It is meant to recognize those not generally recognized as a high profile individual, group, or organization, but who work tirelessly behind the scenes for the love of the music and who have not been recognized for their contributions by national or international music entities. It includes volunteers in all their diversity who, year after year, lend support to folk clubs, festivals, house concerts, etc.
